I consult a dictionary when I need to know how to spell something. Our clients consult us when they need answers & solutions that get results. Your gut is telling you right. Hire Easy Time Consulting today!
A qualified Federal Prison Consultant is an expert in every stage of the Federal Justice System. Performance on that level is only possible because of a unique combination of experience and expertise.
What you get for your money is the wisdom of hindsight. You’re paying to know now -RIGHT NOW- what I would’ve paid any amount to have known that long ago and distant morning when the Feds knocked on my door.
If I had known then what I know now, I wouldn’t have been sentenced to 120 months in Federal Prison, nor been designated to USP Terre Haute; the only federal prison in the country with a death row. A record 22 people were put to death there within 24 months.
I’m a non-violent drug offender. I had no idea what I was doing living down the hall from the federal death chamber, but it was all the motivation I needed to find out why. I dedicated myself to learning all things BOP, studying their ways, and mastering their moves.
I’m not just some guy that calls himself a federal prison consultant because I did fed time. I was able to absorb BOP policy and the federal sentencing guidelines because I have a formal education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville as my foundation. I never graduated because I over did it with the partying, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t learn a whole hell of a lot. Moving on…
It’s works best if you hire Easy Time Consulting before you sign a plea agreement or take your case to trial. Everyone on our Team is a Federal Sentence Mitigation Specialist. We help you present a complete, humanized picture and document it for your lawer to review.
After a guilty plea but before your sentencing hearing, a qualified federal probation officer will meet with you and conduct a Pre-Sentencing Interview (PSI). They verify your answers and then write them up in a 30 - 40 page report that documents your life.
Federal judges use Pre-Sentencing Reports (PSR) to determine where you fall within the Sentencing Guideline Range, including Below or Above it. The BOP uses the information for Security Designation and Program Eligibility.
The PSR is capable of being your single most effective asset with the Federal Justice System and the BOP. It has life altering impacts on the length of your sentence, and what the time you do serve will be like once you’re inside the federal prison system.
Easy Time Consulting transforms your PSR into an asset by conducting a word-for-word, question by question mock interview. Preparation here has life long returns.
The Security Designation and Custody Classification Manual, Program Statement 5100.08 was the first to fall on my way to knowing all things BOP. I became an expert in Lower Security Transfers just so I could get the hell away from USP Terre Haute. But I also had to accept that the BOP did not make a mistake when it Classified me as High Security. They followed policy and used the information in my Pre-Sentencing Report.
I didn’t know it at the time, but there’s a two week review period before the PSR is finalized. Because I never bothered to look at my copy of the PSR, I didn’t know that I had a Criminal Detainer (a pending charge) and that my PSR had labeled my Instant Offense (current federal charge) as being of the Greatest Severity.
Based on the information in my PSR, the BOP added 3 points for the Detainer, and 7 more points for Greatest Severity. The extra 10 points raised my Security Points to 25. High security starts at 24. If I had known then that I had two weeks to review my PSR for errors, I would have easily caught the mistakes.
With only 15 points, I would have been designated to a low security prison. The difference between a USP and a Low is life or death.
I succeeded in getting 3 Lower Security Transfers and 1 Programming Transfer. From USP Terre Haute (32 months) to FCI Forrest City Medium (18 months); To FCI Forrest City Low (18 months); to the Minimum Security Camp at FCI Forrest City (26 months); and finally to the Texarkana Camp for RDAP (10 months).
The BOP didn’t break me. They made me the Greatest Federal Prison Consultant of All Time. The GOAT!
Once you’re in federal prison, there are multiple legal pathways that can be filed pro se to get you out the door sooner. Pro se motions are free and filled by you on your behalf. Pro se forms are available in the Law Library of any Federal Prison. Easy Time Consulting is always available to provide non-legal educational assistance. Including with a Petition for Executive Clemency, a pardon from President Donald J. Trump.
The following sentence reductions are available to every eligible person in the BOP. Earning the time off is conditional, based on program participation, and successful completion.
Foremost among them is President Donald J. Trump’s First Step Act. In keeping with its name, the First Step Act is the first federal law to reduce the sentences of such a huge number of people that the BOP is still playing catch up. It’s the first source of positive change that’s happened to the Federal Prison System since its founding by congress in 1891. Thank you President Donald J. Trump!
The First Step Act fixed it so that Good Time Credits are awarded at 54 days a year for every year of your sentence. (catching a shot ‘disiplinary’ comes with the consequence of losing GTC) 54 days a year reduces your total sentence by 15%. Prior to President Trump, the BOP awarded Good Time Credits at 47 days a year.
Participating in First Step Act approved programming knocks 12 more months off your sentence. This reduction is rewarded after GTC has already reduced your sentence by 15%.
The First Step Act also directs the BOP to house us in a prison that’s under 500 driving miles from our home address. You provide them with the address during your (PSI) Pre-Sentencing Interview. Prior to President Donald J. Trump’s signing of the First Step Act, landing in a prison that your people could realistically visit was hit or miss.
Part of the 1994 Crime Bill, 18 U.S.C. § 3621(e) guarantees to those that are eligible a sentence reduction of up to 12 months for completing the Residential Drug and Alcohol Program (RDAP).
The program itself is 9 months long. ‘Residential’ because you’ll live in a dedicated RDAP housing unit. Everyone in the RDAP housing unit is either actively enrolled in the program, waiting to start, or has recently graduated.
You should never be charged a consulting fee for determining RDAP eligibility. RDAP eligibility is determined and guaranteed by your word. Make sure the federal probation officer that conducts your Pre-Sentencing Interview (PSI) knows that yes, yes you used in the 12 months prior to your instant offense, your indictment.
The Second Chance Act doesn’t knock any time off your sentence, but it does guarantee that at least 6 months (up to 12 months) of your federal prison sentence is served out in the community. Half-way house, home confinement, or a mixture of the two. Anywhere is better than prison.
FEDERAL SENTENCE REDUCTION
Example 120 month sentence after all possible reductions have been applied:
1.) For each shot (Incident Report) free year served, the BOP knocks off 54 days.
On a 10 year sentence, that’s 540 days (or 18 months) of Good Time Credit.
Original 120 month sentence - 18 months GTC
102 Month Reduced Sentence
2.) Participation in First Step Act approved programing maxes out at 12 months.
102 months - FSA 12 months
90 Month Reduced Sentence
3.) Successful completion of RDAP maxes out at 12 months.
90 months - RDAP 12 months
78 Month Reduced Sentence
4.) The Second Chance Act does not reduce a sentence, but it enables you to serve up to 12 months out in the community. Which we all know is the same thing as being free.
78 months - 12 months served in the community.
Time Served Inside a Federal Prison:
= 66 months (5.5 years)
I was released the year before the First Step Act went into effect. I did 8.8 years on a 120 month sentence. GTC was 47 days back then. The only positive thing I can say is that 5.5 years might not have been enough to inspire me to start Easy Time Consulting.
(*State or federal convictions of sex, guns, or violence do not qualify for any reduction. The only way to lose GTC is by catching a shot. (Incident Report)
USP Atlanta High Security
FCI Leavenworth Medium Security
FCI Tallahassee Low Security
FPC Yankton Minimum Security
The difference between prisons is only skin deep. Every federal prison has the same departments and operates on the same nationwide policies. If you’ve been to one federal prison you’ve been to them all. If you know how one works you know how they all work.
Con Air & the Federal Transfer Center
The Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma. Administrative Security Level. Everyone locked up inside arrived via CON AIR. The plane ride is nothing like the movies. The dozen U.S. Marshalls on board ensure a smooth ride. The Transfer Center is filled with people on their way to Federal Prison, or transferring from one Federal Prison to another. The Transfer Center is clean & calm. Six sides and six stories tall. One floor is classified for females. The Transfer Center is most people’s introduction to prison respect.
Anytime you walk past another person, say ‘excuse me’.
High & Medium Security Cell

Additional Areas of Service:
Early Termination of Supervised Release. Revocation Hearings. BP-9 fillings. Disciplinary Write-Ups. DHO Hearings, Person-to-Person Disputes. Lower Security Transfers. Programming Need Transfers. Medical Transfers. RDAP, the Life Connections Program, and UNICOR.
Low & Minimum Housing Unit w/ Cube Cells
My BOP register number is 32223-074. The US Marshalls assigned the first five numbers. The last three are my sentencing district. (The Eastern District of Tennessee = 074, Middle District = 075, Western District = 076)
You’re in the Tennessee Car and one of my homeboys if you’ve got any of those last three numbers. State homeboy cars are not gangs. At best it’s a figure of speech. Being in the Tennessee Car just means that’s where you were sentenced. Though it’s a better idea to bum a shot of coffee from someone that’s your homeboy than someone that’s not.
When you live inside the BOP, Prison Politics are respected. Here at Easy Time Consulting we understand that it’s no different than BOP policy or Federal Law. It is what it is.
You will hear people talking about checking someone’s paperwork; aka court transcripts. In any security level except for Minimum, you’ll be expected to show your Paperwork. If you have Good Paperwork, there won’t be any issues. Bad Paperwork is a Court Transcript that evidences cooperation with the government and/or a sexual offense.
You’ll want to check the paperwork of any Federal Prison Consultant that you’re considering hiring. If they’re offended or give some excuse as to why they can’t show it to you, well that’s the same as having bad paperwork. And bad paperwork is a deal breaker.
Red flags to look for are any consultant that’s only done time in a Minimum security Camp. Even if their paperwork is good, (unlikely) their experience is limited and biased. Camps are not prisons. Camper Consultants will often charge their clients for a 5K1.1 (aka, snitching/cooperation) service packages without concern for what will happen to said client if they catch a shot (Incident Report) and get transfered to a higher security prison.
(Sex offenders by BOP policy can’t be housed in Camps. The vast majority of them are housed in Low Security facilities, or in higher security prisons that have Sex Offender Management Programs, aka SOMP yards.)
It is highly advisable NOT to procure faked or fraudulent paperwork. It’s a federal crime. It will 100% backfire. Seriously, don’t try it.
